Lisa Randall is an American theoretical physicist, Harvard physics professor, and leading expert on particle physics and cosmology. She earned both her B.A. in Physics and Ph.D. in Theoretical Particle Physics from Harvard. She has received honorary degrees from Duke, Brown, and Bard. She was the first tenured theoretical physics professor at Princeton, MIT, and Harvard. Her most well-known work is the Randall-Sundrum Model.
In 2004, she became the most cited theoretical physicist of the past half decade. In 2005, her book Warped Passages: Unraveling the Mysteries of the Universe’s Hidden Dimensions was listed in “100 Notable Books of 2005” by The New York Times. In 2007, she was listed on “100 Most Influential People” by Time Magazine under the “Scientists & Thinkers” section. She has written the libretto for an opera about physics, Hypermusic: A Projective Opera in Seven Planes.
This is Lisa Randall’s curriculum vitae. It’s like she has the face of Jodie Foster and the mind of Stephen Hawking.
