Jay Greenberg was born on December 13, 1991 - which will make him 20 years old by the end of this year - in New Haven, Connecticut to a linguist and painter. By age 3, he was already playing the cello and had taught himself how to play the piano. By age 7, he was taking music theory and composition classes at Duke University. By age 10, he was attending the Juilliard School of Music on a full scholarship. By age 12, he had already composed, not one, but five full-length symphonies (each symphony is about half an hour long). According to Jay, he hears “multiple channels” of fully composed music in his head.
