Last month, I hosted a CouchSurfer who was Thai-Chinese by ethnicity, Singaporean by nationality, and Japanese by education. He attends the same university and lives in the same dormitory as Haruki Murakami did!

He went to Cuba after New York and just came back last night. He brought me a bottle of Havana Club rum - you can’t get this stuff in America because of the United States embargo against Cuba. Best gift from a CouchSurfer yet!
